Richard Eustace
Chairman
Richard’s father, Michael, co-founded CEMAS in 1989 and Richard has had a close bond with the company since then. The Eustace family took full ownership of CEMAS in 1999 and Richard assumed the role of Chairman in 2019. Holding an M.A. in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, Richard helps drive the business’ strategic planning, direction and oversight.

Phil Jutsum
Managing Director
Phil joined CEMAS in 2004 as a laboratory scientist before progressing to manage the agrochemical and biocide product business in 2012. He was appointed Director in 2014 and assumed the role of Test Facility Manager in 2019, while continuing to oversee the products business. In 2025, Phil was appointed Managing Director of CEMAS, reflecting his longstanding commitment and leadership within the organisation.

Garry Langridge
Director and Manager of Agrochemical and Biocides Residues Section
Garry brings 28 years of experience in GLP laboratory operations, specialising in agrochemical residue analysis. He joined CEMAS in 2007, following a career in similar roles within the agrochemical industry. Initially working in the laboratory, Garry progressed to oversee GLP studies, and now manages the Agrochemical Residues division. In 2014, Garry was appointed as a Director of CEMAS and continues to manage the residues business.

Erwan Jaffré
Director and Manager: Life Science, Agrochemical and Biocides Products Sections
Erwan joined CEMAS in 2014 to lead the Pharmaceuticals division, bringing with him extensive expertise gained through a career in quality control roles within the pharmaceutical industry. In 2023, he was appointed to the Board of Directors. He now manages the Life Science, Agrochemical and Biocides Products sections, with responsibility for a broad portfolio spanning multiple business areas.

Geraint Apps
Director and Principal Scientist
Geraint joined CEMAS in 2011, bringing a wealth of experience from his work in the pharmaceutical and environmental industries. Since 2017, he has served as a director at CEMAS, overseeing IT operations and analytical method development.

Ashlene Gaiger
QA Manager
Ashlene joined CEMAS in early 2020, taking on responsibility for quality assurance and management. She brings extensive expertise from her career in CRO GLP and GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing, where she began as a laboratory scientist before transitioning into Quality Assurance.
