CEMAS is excited to announce its new Seed Treatment Service. This expansion strengthens our support for clients in plant protection and agricultural R&D.
With this service, we apply seed treatment formulations accurately and reproducibly at research scale. As a result, clients can prepare treated seed for regulatory studies, physical and chemical testing and field trial distribution. Moreover, the capability has been designed to integrate seamlessly with our existing analytical and regulatory capabilities.
To ensure each batch meets study requirements, CEMAS verifies seed loading levels through active ingredient analysis before shipment.
In addition, we conduct CIPAC-compliant physical testing, including:
-
Adhesion (CIPAC MT 194)
-
Uniformity of distribution (CIPAC MT 175)
-
Label claim evaluation, performed under GLP
These tests provide critical insights into coating quality. Consequently, they help clients optimise formulations, improve field trial reliability, and support regulatory documentation.
Commenting on the launch, Garry Langridge, Section Manager in Agrochemicals at CEMAS, said:
“This new capability allows us to support clients from formulation right through to field deployment, with an emphasis on precision, compliance and adaptability. Whether for early-stage R&D or large-scale field trials, we can now offer a fully integrated service.”
